What Ripsnorter says about this coffee

Producer: Graciano Cruz Farm: Hiu Los Lajones Lot: 3XXX Origin: Panama Region: Volcán, Chiriquí Varietal: Geisha Process: Natural Fermentation: Classic Natural Altitude: 1,650–2,400 masl Tasting Notes: Nectarine, mandarin, oolong tea

Perched high on the volcanic slopes of Volcán Barú, Hiu Los Lajones has become one of Panama's most respected coffee farms. Led by Graciano Cruz, a pioneer of Panamanian specialty coffee, the farm has spent decades proving that great coffee doesn't need to shout. Instead, meticulous farming, careful processing and an extraordinary terroir allow the coffees to speak for themselves. The result is a reputation built on elegance, consistency and some of the country's most celebrated Geishas.

Lot #3XXX is exactly that. A beautifully clean classic natural where the process enhances, rather than dominates, the coffee. Expect vibrant notes of nectarine and mandarin, layered with delicate florals and finishing with the soft, tea like elegance of oolong. Refined, expressive and effortlessly drinkable, it's a reminder of why Panama remains the benchmark for world class Geisha.

Recommended resting time before freezing: 14-20 days after roast.

Tasting notes

…tasting notes: Nectarine, mandarin, oolong tea… part of a longer passage the roaster’s page (opens in a new tab)

A further 7 facts on this page were read from part of the shop page that holds no sentence — a menu or a product grid — so there is nothing to quote for them.

Taken from the roaster’s own pages, and nothing here has been verified by us or by an independent body. What we store is a passage of page text cut around the fact, so one shown with an ellipsis is a passage we cannot see the start or the end of; only the fully quoted ones are complete sentences.
